Hughes Bosca thrives on the 20-year collaborative energy of two unique individuals, Mary Hughes and Caro-Gray Bosca. Each brings their own clear perspective as well as a shared aesthetic, together creating delightful and personal works of art.

Creative inspiration is borne of a range of impromptu discoveries in everyday life, from places as disparate as Japanese tsuba at a NY flea market to patterns of Turkish rug at Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar to a rusted steel bolt found on a walk in the woods. Sparkling gemstones hold equal sway to the earthiness of a wooden burl. Textures, manipulated surfaces, bright colors and unusual materials, unexpected details will surprise and amuse. Each piece starts with a drawing, over time is refined, and then made by hand.
